About the hotel

An outstanding country house situated in picturesque Beaulieu, this AA top 200 hotel is the ideal base for a break exploring the New Forest.

The Montagu Arms can trace its origins back to the 17th century and includes atmospheric period features such as panelled walls and beamed ceilings. During your stay you can dine in the cosy atmosphere of Monty's bar, or enjoy the award-winning Terrace Restaurant, with views over a splendid terraced garden. The Montagu Arms is located close to the M27, Southampton and Bournemouth airports and is a good base for discovering the South.

Access to the health club facilities at the Montagu's sister hotel, Careys Manor, located only 6 miles away from the hotel, is included in the rate. The facilities available include a swimming pool, poolside sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, as well as a state-of-the-art gymnasium.

Residents must be over the age of 16 years to use the health club facilities at our sister hotel.

Restaurants and Bars

Guests have the choice of 2 restaurants within the hotel: The Terrace and Monty’s. The Terrace is our fine dining restaurant, with 2 AA Rosettes. It has a beautiful view over our terraced gardens. Here we offer a daily table d'hote menu as well as a seasonal à la carte menu.

Monty's Bar is slightly more informal. With a warm and friendly atmosphere it offers a lovely à la carte menu with something to suit everyone’s taste. Our chef prides himself on using the best fresh, local and free range produce wherever possible.

Children must be over the age of 8 to dine in the Terrace restaurant in the evening. However, we can provide dining in Monty's, our Brasserie, and room service is also available.

From London:
- Follow the M3, bypassing Winchester.
- Join the M27 westbound, following signs to Bournemouth.
- Leave the M27 at junction 2.
- Turn left at the roundabout, following brown Tourist Board signs for the National Motor Museum and Beaulieu (A326).
- Continue along the A326 until Dibden Purlieu.
- Turn right at the roundabout onto the B3054 signposted to Beaulieu.
- As you enter Beaulieu village, The Montagu Arms Hotel is on your left.
- Draw up in front of the hotel and we will be happy to assist you with your luggage.
